Hi there! I finally picked up my tablet again and finished something I had in mind for a bit, and almost quitted several times but I'm glad I finished it!

I'm quite proud of it considering I didn't use a sketch on paper this time. All in Krita, babyyyyy!

I still have a lot to learn and improve on, like my stinky lineart, but it's been nice to get out of the rut and pick up drawing once again, I hope I get some more free time to do some other stuff while I get back to college in a couple of weeks.

I'm not sure what I'll do next, but I'm quite happy and cookin'!

Happy Pixel Day 2024, everyone!

It's good to be back in NG once again, and for the first time I actually posted something related to the event!

It's not that great, I don't really have much experience with pixel-art but I had that idea this morning and I was eager to try it out, hopefully it turned out OK!

I'm not sure yet how these notes work exactly, but if anyone's able to read this, have you made something for this particular day? I'd love to see it!

In other notes, time sure flies, doesn't it? It's been a year and a half or so since my last post for Pico Day 2022. I intended to be more active but without getting into much detail, ever since then and specially 2023 as a whole, was a rough time in my life, I vanished from most online places, and stopped practicing for a while but I'm glad it's kinda over by now. Nothing too crazy, but it definitely slowed me down in general, and I'm starting to recover from it.

Anyhow, I picked up drawing again around october from last year and I definitely feel an improvement, hopefully I'll have a non pixel-art piece made soon to share here. I still haven't gotten used to my drawing tablet but we'll see what happens!

Happy Pico Day everyone! I was planning to make some new art piece or finish a song for today, but I didn't make it in time, sadly. If anyone seeing this has made something for today or recommends some Pico Day piece you've seen, I'd love to see it! You're welcome to share it :)

In the meantime, I'm thinking about uploading a song I made like two months ago, as I mentioned I planned to finish a Pico related song for today, but I didn't know how to properly make it so I've been pretty much stuck creatively. The one I plan to upload is not that one, but rather my first song ever! (that i think sounds decent enough), thing is, it's FNF related for a project I was working with a friend, that is now kinda abandoned/on indefinite hold, so, who knows, I may post it later today or tomorrow.

Hi everyone! I just posted my first piece for the Art Portal, a Shaggy fanart, and wanted to talk a bit about myself, how I found out about NG and what are my plans with this account and life in general, in case new peeps find me, and just as a proper introduction, so, it's probably going to be a bit long lol

• Who are you, anyways?

I'm Franco, and Trank's my nick/username. Some friends would give me weird nicknames, we mixed two of them, and Trank was the result, it was better than any of my usernames in the past so I kept it lol

I'm from Argentina, and I look forward to meet friends here, and of course improve my skills in all the areas I end up tackling.

For now I just posted one drawing, but I look forward to improve and start posting to other portals, such as audio and games (movies too if I get decent at drawing & animating lol)

• How did you find NG?

I made this account around 2019, I think to follow Sr Pelo, one of my favorite animators, and pretty much kept popping up from time to time to lurk the art and movies section.

I don't think I had much of a past with the site prior to that, besides playing the Henry Stickmin games in other copycat websites (I played flash games quite a bit as a kid but I never heard about Newgrounds itself)

And of course, like a lot of people, I came back after a while to play FNF, and got to browse the other portals again, now being more active, leaving ratings and such.

I love the sense of community that Newgrounds has compared to other sites, and so I got really inspired to start posting my own stuff here, even though I was (and still kinda am) intimidated with other people's work, since a lot of people post amazing art pieces, and for what I see most are here mostly to work, so I don't really want to bother anyone, but I realised that shouldn't stop me to do my own things, even though it took me like a year or so to actually post anything lol

Also, I started college this year, which has been incredibly stressful, and that didn't help me to actually work on something worth posting, but hey I finally did! Even if it's not the best art piece in this site I'm proud that I finally took my first step here, and I hope it isn't the last!

• So, what's your plan?

For now I'll probably keep making fanart and OC related stuff whenever I have the time or patience, and as I mentioned like 4 times by now probably, I want to get good at music and gamedev too. For now I've been trying without much success working on FNF mods since its modding accessibility has been incredibly inspiring, and I think it's a good step for me so I can get into all areas I'll need in the future. The game's also been stuck in my head ever since I started playing it, but I wanted to post something unrelated to it as a first post to show that I still like other things lol

I also took some Unity courses and so on, but it's been a while since and I probably didn't learn much from them, so I really, really hope to bring good things to this website in the near future once I get my "adult" life sorted out a bit better.

I have a lot of respect for Newgrounds and the community around it, and with me not being too skilled yet, I felt I wouldn't belong here, but I really hope to keep improving and being an active member, so, if anyone reads this, thank you for your interest, I really appreciate it, and I hope to see you soon, wherever we meet!
